Project 01
George Foster portfolio
A production-ready portfolio and online CV designed to communicate George’s technical depth, professional character, and project ownership through one concise, dependable source of truth.
01Challenge
Why the project was needed.
George’s previous portfolio was dated and had never been intended as a polished public presence. Relevant work was easily forgotten or pushed into the background, leaving no consistent place to demonstrate the breadth of his skills.
The replacement needed current, carefully verified content and a shared experience for prospective clients, hiring managers, and recruiters. Keeping those audiences together made the site easier to remember while allowing the same evidence of work to support different professional outcomes.
Contribution
George’s contribution.
George owns the product direction, architecture, content, and delivery process. The site was created through an end-to-end agentic workflow using Codex and current GPT models, with George directing requirements, reviewing generated work, and making the final product and technical decisions.
The objective was not one-shot generation. It was to apply the structured AI-assisted software-development lifecycle George also uses professionally.
Approach
How it was built.
- 01
Began with intentionally blank scaffolding so product direction, content, visual design, and implementation could be developed in focused sessions.
- 02
Established a detailed AGENTS.md to give AI agents durable project context, quality requirements, and boundaries.
- 03
Followed a repeatable lifecycle: research, requirements, written planning, implementation slices, automated checks, code review, pull requests, Vercel previews, and revision.
- 04
Reviewed generated copy closely and used iterative feedback loops to keep the user experience aligned with the original objectives.
- 05
Created one information architecture for clients and hiring teams instead of separating overlapping evidence into parallel sites.
- 06
Maintained product, content, design, architectural decisions, and production-readiness guidance alongside the code.
Outcome
What can be verified.
The portfolio provides a professional home for work that might otherwise remain unseen. It presents George’s experience and capabilities consistently while demonstrating a dependable, thorough, and ownership-driven approach to delivery.
The site remains under active development at gfosterdev.com. Its documented workflow provides additional evidence of how it is built; the source repository is private.
